The 2018 Northwest Tandem Rally will be centered in the historic town of Albany in the heart of the Willamette Valley. Albany is the 11th largest city in Oregon and is located at the confluence of the Calapooia and Willamette Rivers. Founded around 1848 the town has the most varied collection of historic buildings in Oregon. In town visit the pioneer-era Monteith House, museums, the carousel, and many antique shops. Surrounding Albany is one of the most diversified agricultural areas of the state, featuring miles of quiet country roads, historic covered bridges, and an expanding wine industry.
Important Venue Change
Due to construction at South Albany High School we are moving the event venue to Timber Ridge School. This puts us closer to Motels and off-site camping, and opens up a larger area for on-site camping. It is also a better starting location for our rides.
What you should know about the new venue
- Onsite camping is still available for tents and RVs.
- This school has fewer showers than the high school. We don’t expect this to be a problem but it would be helpful if campers would bring any kind of portable or outdoor solar showers.
