• Will camping be a housing option at NWTR 2010?

  Yes. Tent campers are offered space on the South Medford High School natural grass outfield. Recreational Vehicle campers who are self-contained are offered spaces on paved surfaces at the High School. Campers will have access to the school gymnasium for hot showers and indoor facilities during day and evening hours. Outside facilities will be available during night hours. Campers will sleep within a 100 meters of our ride starting points.

• What kind of weather can we expect?

  The Rogue Valley is tucked between the Siskiyou Mountains and Coastal Range to the west and the Cascade Mountains to the east. We have what if often referred to as an inland Mediterranean climate in that winters are wet and summers are dry. Check out the National Weather Service’s historical weather data for Medford and the Rogue Valley.
  
  So, how hot can it get? The maximum temperature for Medford’s July 4th is “normally” 88F, but our high for the day could be as low as 65F or as high as 104F. That said, our daily high temperatures peak at about 4PM and our daytime humidity is pretty dry.

• Will you have Vegetarian options?

  Yes. Our rest stop food, (lunches including our July 4th BBQ lunch) and banquet menus will accommodate usual vegetarian needs. However, participants with special vegetarian requirements may need to make their own arrangements.

• Is a ride around Crater Lake an option?

  Yes, but not as a NWTR 2010 ride. Crater Lake NP is Oregon's National Park and should be experienced by all who can take the extra day. We will provide Crater Lake bike ride information for those interested in experiencing the lake.
